Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an Mexican-American sportscaster. She is an ESPN anchor of news and hosts SportsNation at times. She began working for ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been since when she was nine years old. This ability helped her to get her first job with Univision, Miami. She worked with producers from across the country on programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. In 2009, the CBS channel in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become the sports reporter. The year 2009 saw her move to Rio Grande Valley, Texas to work as a news reporter for The Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In reporting on news stories related to immigration and drug trafficking both across the Texas as well as the Mexico border, she was employed as a news reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision, the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Her birth date was November 22nd, 1985 and was raised in Mexico City. She is the older sibling of her parents. In 1992 the family left Mexico to the US and relocated to Miami. The couple divorced shortly after and her mother remarried one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who passed away of kidney cancer in 2006. It was during a time of summer when she was with her younger sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten work. Antonietta, a high-school senior with a plan of what she wanted her life to be like, visited Mount Union University to determine what she could get out of the college. It was discovered that she loved the campus and that the school offered the program she desired. After graduating from school, she was enrolled at the college with a major in media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU Radio and was participant in her class established a long-lasting relationship with her. Professor Mark Bergmann influenced her by his passion in journalism. The professor also had a profound impact on her.
